FAQ
Full transparency, I am not a professional nor will I ever present myself to be in men's health. I do however, want to provide, create, and connect with other fathers and men who are navigating parenthood. If you're like me, you struggle to find space to share your stories and need time to sort them before you do. Be heard. Be you. Let men support men so we can better support our families.
Why do this?
I'm not sure I have much, if any, ambition for this to 'blow up'. I did some digging into men's groups for new fathers that might be a good fit for me, and nothing really stuck out as 'that's for me!'. I imagine others feel the same, maybe this is a short gap? Maybe we can make some real connections on the way. It's also wildly difficult to find any reputable resources. Maybe lack of SEO? Location? Not sure, but here we are now.
If I want to write for Beyond Dad Jokes blog.. Will I remain anonymous?
Yea, and 100% your decision too. 0 pressure. You can be credited or remain anonymous. You can follow the steps to anonymously send your story at the Beyond Dad Jokes page.
Do know, there is an exception to that anonymity.. if you disclose in your story any evidence of abuse, exploitation, or any other illegal matters I will report that to the local authorities. I am not here to judge, but this platform will not be used for that sort of outlet. Go find Jesus or a priest if you need to get something off your chest. Or go to Reddit.
Is this for me?
This platform is hyper specific to fathers who want to connect to other fathers, without expectation. To share, to listen, to relate, to x-z... even to just sit in the background and passively listen. I want this to be a resource to come back to at the end of a really tough day so you could take a sigh of relief that you aren't alone.
